Tiger Woods commits to play Quail Hollow Championship
It took Tiger Woods weeks to tab Augusta National as the site of his return after a five-month absence from the game. But it only took Woods three days to schedule the next two tournaments in the Tiger Woods Tour.
After sending in the paperwork for the U.S. Open earlier in the week, Woods confirmed today that he’d be playing at Quail Hollow in two weeks’ time. The decision to play at the Charlotte, North Carolina, course means there’s a good chance we’ll see Woods at least two or three more times prior to Pebble Beach.
His track record at Quail Hollow includes a win in 2007 and a fourth place finish last year. So the odds of him contending at the event are pretty good. Assuming Quail Hollow goes according to plan, the next logical stop would be the Players Championship, followed by Jack’s tournament, The Memorial.
