From the Rough

Golf without discretion

Ryan Moore is one easygoing guy

Just wanted to give a plug for Stephanie Wei’s article on Ryan Moore in the most recent issue of Sport Illustrated. Wei gives an insightful look into Moore’s personal life — one that’s spent with family and friends when he’s on and off the course.

It sounds silly to say this, but Moore is exactly the kind of golfer kids should be looking up to. He may not know it, but he’s giving children a blueprint for success in golf, as well as life. He worked hard on his game through college, never took anything for granted, and watched while it all paid dividends in end with a win last year in Greensboro.

Great stuff as always from Ms. Wei. It never hurts to see another up-and-coming golf writer getting a chance to prove herself on the big stage. I think she’ll be getting many more opportunities after this one.
