Michelle Wie is finally doing things the right way

It took some time, but finally, after all this time, Michelle Wie is doing things the right way. Instead of chasing her dream of playing with the men on the PGA Tour; Wie turned her attention to college and the goal of playing full-time on the LPGA. After qualifying and earning her card at Q School, she made her first start of the season yesterday at the SBS Open and didn’t disappoint.
Michelle Wie made her much-anticipated debut as a full-fledged LPGA Tour member, birdieing her final three holes for a six-under-par 66 Thursday in the first round of the season-opening SBS Open.

Granted this tournament is being played on her home island of Oahu, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that she’s finally living up to her billing. Who knows, maybe today she fires an 80 and misses the cut. But if yesterday’s round was a sign of things to come for Wie, then maybe, just maybe, the LPGA can survive the economic storm that’s threatening their tournament schedule.
I think Michelle is great, hope she can improve this year! She has many fans in japan too
